Itinerary
06:15 – 06:30: Depart Hanoi aboard a comfortable sleeping bus bound for the misty mountains of Sapa. Relax and enjoy the scenery as the road winds through lush valleys and along towering peaks.
13:00 – 13:30: Arrive in Sapa town, where your local guide will meet you and take you for lunch at a mountain-view restaurant. Afterward, check in to your hotel and take a short rest before the afternoon’s adventure.
14:30: Begin your guided walk to Cat Cat Village, home to the Black H’mong people. Stroll past rice terraces and traditional wooden houses, learning about the customs and crafts of this ethnic minority. Visit Cat Cat Waterfall and the French-built hydroelectric plant from the early 20th century, then enjoy time to explore, take photos, or chat with the locals.
18:30 – 19:00: Return to Sapa town for dinner at a local restaurant. The evening is free for you to wander through Sapa’s night market or relax in one of its cosy mountain cafés. Overnight in your hotel.
06:30: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before an early departure to Bac Ha Market, one of the largest and most colourful ethnic markets in northern Vietnam.
07:00: Drive for about three hours through scenic mountain roads to Bac Ha. On arrival, immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere as the Flower H’mong, Black Dao, Tay, Nung, La Chi, and Phu La tribes gather to buy, sell, and socialise. Browse stalls overflowing with handmade textiles, silver jewellery, livestock, and local produce — and capture unforgettable photos of this vibrant cultural exchange.
12:00: Have lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your journey to Ban Pho Village, home of the Flower H’mong people. Visit traditional homes, learn about their daily life and customs, and sample homemade corn wine, a regional speciality known for its warmth and hospitality.
13:30 – 16:30: Depart Bac Ha and drive back toward Sapa and Lao Cai, soaking in the last views of the highlands along the way.
16:30: Arrive in Lao Cai and rest at a local restaurant before boarding the sleeper bus back to Hanoi.
21:00 – 21:30: Return to Hanoi, with drop-off at Tran Quang Khai Street in the Old Quarter.
